Your vacation Villa is in the center of Cabarete bay on the North coast of the Dominican Republic. The beach is long and wide with fine white sand, the turquoise sea is warm, and a Coral Reef protects the Bay. Sometimes you will see turtles and manatees inside the reef and maybe in the distance whales.

You won't need a car here, everything is close and if you don't feel like walking then there are plenty of taxis or local transport: the Guagua mini-bus.

There are many activities to suit everyone, or you can just relax and soak up the sun. Strong thermal winds and sunshine are well-known in Cabarete Bay making it the very best spot for Kitesurfing and Windsurfing. The beach is sheltered from the wind allowing pleasant sun-bathing or a cooling swim.

Or, sit on our community beach-front lawn in the shade of the palm trees and watch the ocean.

Cabarete is a short stroll along the beach from Villa Gecko. The town has grown from a small sleepy fishing-community to a lively and thriving village. There are many shops, bars, and restaurants along the beach and in the main street. There is even a Casino!

You will find plenty of tour-operators offering a variety of excursions.

At night the town comes alive, the beach front restaurants serve customers with a wide variety of dishes; lobster, pizza, pie & mash, French cuisine, sea food, curry, steak, Mexican, Italian.. the list is almost endless!

As the night progresses the bars and nightclubs liven up - the night is young!
